To all my fans I know it's been a while since I posted a blog. Things have been very busy since I had my lil baby, so if you have a child I'm sure you understand. Since I have been M.I.A LOL I have been busy also getting ready for the season by lifting weights and doing cardio ofcourse so I'm in top physical shape. Also ofcourse I already shared with you that I recently got married so life is great and I am truly blessed!

I wanted to drop in to let you know that I will try my best moving forward to shoot a blog as much as I can monthly to keep all you guys in the loop with what's going on in my world, so forgive me for the long delayed blog. However I do have some great news to share with you which is, that I am having my Celebrity Charity event held in Austin, TX next month. I wanted to personally invite all my fans whom I consider family to come and support this event I am having to raise money to benefit the local kids in the community in Austin, Kansas City and Waco (my hometown). If you can come out and support that would be great and I have dropped the event details below if you can come out. Look forward to seeing some of my fellow barkers in the house!

What's up! It's been a minute but I wanted to give you guys an update as to whats been going on with me. First off, July 4, 2009 I married the love of my life and high school sweetheart Tamika. She is also the mother of my son Derrick"Deuce" Johnson II. It was a beautiful and joyous occasion and honestly one of the best days of my life. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and son. The many months of planning definitely payed off and I couldn't have asked for a better day. That combined with getting ready for and going into training camp have made me a very busy man so bare with me yard barker.

Okay enough of the mushy stuff. Training camp couldn't be going better we are looking better each day. Adjusting to the new coaching staff was honestly a smooth transition and I can't complain. I'm very excited about the upcoming season if you've noticed we have a pretty challenging schedule which makes it more the fun. To all the LOYAL KC fans or even the DJ fans I promise you guys we are working harder than ever and more determined than EVER to prove the non-believers WRONG. We do this all the for the fans and for the LOVE of the game. This is going to be a good season I can feel it. Tune in for the next pre-season game against the Vikings. Until next time......

I have been ofcourse working out everyday to stay in shape, and recently held a celebrity poker tournament to benefit my foundation which was a hige success! We raised over $50k plus through donations and this will surely help us give back to the community through scholarships and so much more.
